Mini-Miranda Warning

The mini-Miranda is the disclosure a debt collector must give stating that the communication is an attempt to collect a debt and that any information obtained will be used for that purpose. It must appear in the initial communication and be identified in later ones.

What Mini-Miranda Warning means for creditors

Small disclosure, large liability if missed. MSB's scripts and letters embed the mini-Miranda automatically, removing a common source of technical FDCPA violations for the creditors it represents.

Legal reference: FDCPA § 1692e(11)
