Collections Process

Placement

A placement is the act of assigning a delinquent account to a collection agency for recovery. Accounts are usually placed in batches, and creditors may place with a primary agency first and then place unrecovered accounts with a secondary agency.

What Placement means for creditors

How and when accounts are placed drives results. MSB supports secure batch placement by portal, SFTP, or direct system integration, and its early-out and bad-debt programs match placement timing to each account's stage.

Midwest Service Bureau has recovered commercial, medical, utility, and government debt for creditors nationwide since 1970 — on a no-recovery, no-fee basis. Questions about placement or a portfolio you'd like reviewed? Call (800) 362-0272.
